Suggested donation items for the women we serve:
Almost* anything (gently used and/or new) that is needed to turn a small apartment into home.
Household furniture: Shelving, couches/loveseats (no sectionals or sleepers), small kitchen/dining tables, chairs, recliners, bed frames, cribs (no recalled or drop-sides), lamps, toy-boxes, end-tables, nightstands, and more.
Clean Mattresses and box springs: Crib, Twin, Full, and Queen sizes ONLY.
Clean Bedding (please note sizes): Mattress covers, mattress pads, sheets, pillowcases, pillows (NEW only) and blankets (Twin, Full, and Queen sized ONLY). Twins go fast.
Curtains and rods: Most sizes accepted.
Kitchen items: Small appliances, microwaves, utensils, measuring tools, bakeware, slow cookers, cookware, and glasses (no stemware).
Cleaning supplies: 11-13 gallon trash cans, small waste baskets, brooms and dustpans, mops and buckets, BAGLESS vacuums.
Linens: Hand towels, bath towels, washcloths, hot pads, oven mitts, dish towels, dishcloths.
Other: Clothes hangers, small area rugs, personal hygiene products, basic hand tools, outlet safety covers, and more according to needs at a specific times.
* Some limitations do apply. A donation coordinator will determine if any of the items you wish to contribute aren’t able to be accepted at the time.
Cleaning supplies are purchased new for each household. All of the items below can be found inexpensively at a local dollar store. For your convenience, we also put together an Amazon list of frequently used cleaning supplies. Cleaning kits include: 1 mop bucket with handle, 1 bottle of all purpose cleaner, 1 bottle of toilet cleaner, 1 bottle of glass cleaner
1 toilet brush, 2-3 sponges (with scouring surface)
